The alphabet soup of manualized therapies works for many, and I’ve found that true transformation often begins when clients step beyond those structured approaches. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. From there, clients may find themselves exploring different parts of their psyche, setting boundaries with substances, conversing with lost loved ones, or even finding gratitude in long-held pain. Each outcome and process is as unique as the individuals I see, and my approach is always grounded in the principles of liberation. Developing skills in weekly sessions is valuable, but when the world feels like it’s on fire, you need more than a breathing exercise—you need a bucket of water.
